Mafate X

HOKA Mafate X is a trail running model built around substantial cushioning and a rockered platform. This Black / Satellite Grey version features a low-cut silhouette with a woven textile upper, engineered mesh zones and fused overlays for structure, plus a reinforced toe cap and molded TPU heel counter for protection on uneven ground. The midsole combines dual-density foam with a responsive PEBA top layer and a supercritical EVA carrier to support longer efforts. Between these foams, a forked carbon fiber plate works with the pronounced MetaRocker geometry to guide transitions and toe-off on varied terrain. A Vibram Megagrip outsole with aggressive, multi-directional lugs is configured for traction on wet rock, loose gravel and hard-packed trails, while the wide base and rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame contribute to a stable platform. The shoe is finished with a padded collar, gusseted tongue and standard lacing.
