ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 14 is a heritage running silhouette with a technical, low-top profile in an Oxblood/Black colorway. First released in 2009, this sportstyle version keeps the asymmetric upper and open mesh paneling associated with late-2000s performance runners. The upper uses breathable textile mesh in contrasting red and dark grey zones, layered with metallic-silver synthetic overlays around the toe, eyestays, quarter and heel for structure and visual depth. Underfoot, a sculpted midsole incorporates rearfoot GEL technology for impact absorption and a TRUSSTIC support system through the midfoot for stability, set on a black rubber outsole with flex grooves for traction. A padded tongue and collar, together with a solution-dyed sockliner, support everyday wear while lowering water usage and carbon emissions in production.
